Michel Gondry

Audio
Michel Gondry, MIT, 4.5.2005 (MP3, 58m, 41.8MB)

This is the audio recording of Michel Gondry's talk at MIT back in April.

Note:

  • The sound quality is middling. It's partly the result of my keeping the video camera out of plain sight: all photo and video recording was banned from the talk, and I had been warned by the event staff to put away my camera.
  • Small portions of the beginning and the end of the talk are missing. The recording begins as Gondry is discussing his Lego video for the White Stripes, which was shown at the start of the talk.
  • I stopped recording whenever they screened a music video, since I didn't see the point (all clips shown were from the Gondry compilation DVD) and I wanted to save tape for Gondry himself. So you'll occasionally hear a snippet of music, followed immediately by post-video applause. You'll have to guess what video was played - it's easy enough to do if you listen to the talk.
