- Woo hoo: my two volleyball teams in the MIT intramurals won both our semifinals. I'll be playing in the finals tomorrow night for both the A league and the B-coed league. The A-league semi was good fun. We played against vb buddies with whom we often play together casually, and things got very friendly-competitive. I had a nice middle hitter/blocker duel with Yangqing (aka The Great Wall of China) on the other team; he stuffed me clean once, but I got several quick hits right by him too. Soon, I was shouting and cheering loudly to get our team pumped up, as it usually happens when I get excited during a game. Then the setter on the other side threw some fuel on the fire by doing some trash talking to me, and that got my big loud mouth going pretty good as well. We won in two sets. Now I'm excited about the finals.
- I met up with Dave who was in town for a Media Lab event. Always good to see him - I can talk movies and music with him for hours. He had just gotten back from the New Order gig in Oakland, and seeing his tour t-shirt got me psyched for Thursday's show in NYC.
- New: Flickr group for Wong Kar-Wai. Dig the photos of the locations from WKW films.
